Ingredients

- For the dough
- 200 grams Quark
- 2 eggs
- 6 Tbsps vegetable oil
- 80 grams sugar
- 1 Tbsp grated Lemon peel
- 300 grams Pastry flour
- 1 packet Baking powder
- For baking and finishing
- 1 egg yolk
- Walnut
- 80 grams powdered sugar
- 1 Tbsp milk
Preparation steps

For the dough, mix together the quark with milk, eggs, oil, sugar and lemon zest. Stir in half of the flour, then knead in remaining flour with baking powder.

Roll out the dough on floured surface into a square of approximately 35 x 35 cm (approximately 14 x 14 inches).
For the filling, mix together all the ingredients for the nut filling. Sprinkle the filling over the dough and roll up the dough into a loaf shape. Place the loaf on a greased or parchment-lined baking sheet.

For finishing, stir together the sugar and milk. Sprinkle the walnuts on the cake and drizzle with the icing.
