7 ozs Pastry flour
1 tsp salt
7 Tbsps sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1 lemon (zested)
4 Tbsps vegetable oil
4 tsps Baking powder
2 eggs
Strawberry Jam
Shortening
powdered sugar

Preparation steps

1.

Mix flour with baking powder and salt. Create a well in the flour and add eggs, salt, sugar, cinnamon, lemon zest, vegetable oil and baking powder. Knead into a dough and let sit for 1 hour at room temperature.

Use hands to shape dough into balls. Place jam in a piping bag and pipe into center of each ball. Brown dough balls in hot butter on both sides. Drain on paper towels and serve sprinkled with powdered sugar.
