Preparation steps

Rinse tuna, pat dry and julienne. Rinse cucumber, cut in half lengthwise, remove seeds with a spoon and julienne.

Cut nori sheet in half. Lay 1 half on a bamboo mat lined with plastic wrap. Use moist hands to spread half of the sushi rice onto the nori, leaving a 1 cm (approximately 1/3 inch) wide edge at the top. Add wasabi to rice in a thin strip. Top wasabi with half of the tuna and cucumber sticks. Roll up nori and press edges gently. Cut into 6 equal-sized pieces. Repeat to create 1 more roll.

Serve with soy sauce and wasabi, as desired.
