Wash and trim the woody ends of the asparagus. Cook in salted boiling water for 10 to 12 minutes, or until tender crisp. Drain well.

Drain the mozzarella and slice thinly. Divide the asparagus into 12 parcels, combining both the white and green asparagus. Wrap a slice of ham around each parcel.
3.
Preheat the raclette grill and butter the raclette pans.
4.
Place wrapped asparagus in prepared raclette pans. Top with mozzarella cheese and season with freshly ground pepper. Place pans under the raclette grill and cook until cheese is melted and golden brown. Sprinkle with toasted almonds. Serve.
