1 cup butter
Oranges (zested finely)
½ cup light corn syrup
0.333 cup brown sugar
4 ½ cups rolled oats
½ cup Milk Chocolate chip
1 ¾ ozs Dark chocolate (melted)

Preparation steps

1.
Heat the oven to 180°C/160°C fan/350°F/gas 4. Line the base and sides of a 28cmx20cm shallow baking tin with baking parchment.

Put the butter, orange zest and golden syrup into a large saucepan and heat gently until the butter has melted. Remove from the heat. Add the sugar, oats and chocolate chips and mix together. Tip into the tin and spread out evenly. Bake for 15–20 minutes until the mixture is beginning to colour around the edge.

Remove from the oven and leave to cool for 5 minutes. Mark into bars with a knife and leave until cold.
4.
When cold, cut the flapjack into bars and place on a sheet of baking parchment. Using a teaspoon, drizzle the melted chocolate in a zigzag fashion over the flapjacks. Leave to set.
