Ingredients

For the chutney
4 cups onions (sliced)
3 Tbsps olive oil
5 Tbsps brown sugar
¼ cup balsamic vinegar
cup Marsala wine (semi-dry)
For the canapés
5 slices Wholemeal Bread (cut into squares)
1 smoked duck leg (diced)
parsley (to garnish)

Preparation steps

1.
Fry the onions in hot oil. Sprinkle with the sugar and allow to caramelise. Add the vinegar and the Marsala and simmer on a low heat for around 25 min. Transfer to jars and leave to cool.
2.
To make the canapes, top each piece of bread with some chutney and some meat. Serve garnished with parsley.
