Preparation steps

Put the oats and milk into a small pan and bring to the boil. Reduce heat and simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring frequently until the oats are cooked.

Add the blueberries and mash them into the porridge. Heat for a minute or too adding a little more milk if necessary. Cool before serving.

Roughly chop 6 soft pitted ready-to-eat prunes and stir into the cooked porridge.

Roughly chop 1 tablespoon raisins. Peel, core and coarsely grate 1 small dessert apple. Stir the raisins and apple into the cooked porridge.
