Preparation steps

Beat butter and sugar in the food processor until creamy.

Stir in oatmeal, cocoa powder, rum and almond extract and beat at the highest speed, until the mixture is creamy. Shape into small balls, roll in granulated sugar, and allow to dry overnight.

Reposition the rum balls in colorful paper candy cases. You can store, such as kept in cans, for 1-2 weeks.
