- 2 stalks mint
- ⅔ cup sugar
- 3.333 cups Strawberries (hulled, puréed and sieved)
- 1 lemon (juice)
- ⅛ cup Orange liqueur
- To garnish
- mint (sprigs)
Preparation steps
1.
Place the mint in a pan with the sugar and 200 ml water. Bring to the boil and boil vigorously for 4-5 minutes. Pour through a sieve and let cool.
2.
Mix the strawberry purée with the syrup, lemon juice and liqueur. Pour into a shallow bowl and and freeze for about four hours, beating vigorously every 20 minutes to prevent the formation of large ice crystals.
3.
Serve in bowls, garnished with mint sprigs.
