4 cooking Apple (peeled, cored and sliced)
1 cup dried Apricot (chopped)
4 Tbsps water
1 lemon (juice)
4 Tbsps Maple syrup
¼ cup butter
0.333 cup Whole wheat flour
½ cup rolled oats
1 tsp ground cinnamon
¼ cup xylitol
1 cup chopped Nut (pecans, almonds, etc.)

Preparation steps

1.
Heat the oven to 190°C (170° fan) 375°F gas 5. Grease a baking dish.
2.
Put the apples and apricots in the baking dish with the water, lemon juice and half the maple syrup. Cook in the oven for about 10 minutes, until the apples are partly cooked.
3.
Put the butter, flour, rolled oats, cinnamon and xylitol in a bowl and rub together to form a coarse crumble mixture. Stir in the nuts.
4.
Sprinkle the crumble mixture over the apples and drizzle the remaining maple syrup over the top.
5.
Bake for a further 15-20 minutes until the top is golden.
