4 trifle sponge cakes
4 Tbsps sherry (or sweet dessert wine)
9 ozs Fruit (e. g. pineapple cubes, raspberries, canned peaches)
1 ready-made Custard
To decorate
pashmak (cotton candy)
Silver Leaf lettuce variety (torn)

Preparation steps

1.
Place the trifle sponges in the base of a serving bowl to form an even layer, cutting to shape if necessary. Sprinkle over the sherry.
2.
Top with the fruit and pour over the custard.
3.
Place the Persian fairy floss on top and scatter over the silver leaf
