- 1 cup fine Cornmeal
- 1 cup Corn starch
- 1 tsp gluten-free Baking powder
- 1 Tbsp Anise seed
- ½ cup butter
- 1 egg
- 4 Tbsps sugar
Preparation steps
1.
Heat the oven to 180°C (160° fan) 350°F gas 4. Line a large baking tray with non-stick baking paper.
2.
Sift together the cornmeal, cornflour, baking powder and aniseed.
3.
Beat together the butter, egg and sugar in a mixing bowl until well blended.
4.
Add the flour mixture and knead with your hands until smooth.
5.
Roll pieces of the dough into small balls and place on the baking tray. Gently flatten with a fork.
6.
Bake for 10-15 minutes until golden. Cool on the tray for 5 minutes, then place on a wire rack to cool completely.
