2 Tbsps flour
cup milk
1 tsp mustard powder
¾ cup Cheddar cheese (grated)
1 cup ham (finely chopped)
16 ozs all-butter Puff pastry
1 egg (beaten)

Preparation steps

Heat the oven to 200ºC (180º fan) 400ºF, gas mark 6.

Melt the butter in a saucepan over a gently heat and stir in the flour. Cook for two minutes then gradually add the milk, stirring all the time. Stir in the mustard powder and cheese, continue cooking for 10 minutes then add the ham and remove the pan from the heat.
3.
Roll out the pastry on a floured board and cut into about 12 circles. Place some of the cheese and ham filling in the middle of each circle of pastry, moisten the edges with a little water then fold them together to form parcels.
4.
Brush the parcels with the beaten egg and place onto a greased baking sheet. Bake in the oven for 15 - 20 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown and well risen.
