- 2 onions
- 1 Tbsp butter
- 100 grams Red Lentils
- 1 ¼ liters Vegetable broth
- 3 Tbsps Ajvar (Finished product, chili paste)
- salt
- freshly ground peppers
- 1 tsp hot ground paprika
- lemons (juice)
- 4 Tbsps mint (chopped)
- 4 Tbsps parsley (chopped)
- Lemon wedge
Preparation
1.
Peel the onions, chop finely and sauté in a pan with butter until translucent. Add lentils and bulgur and sauté briefly, then add vegetable broth and ajvar and season with salt, pepper and paprika. Simmer for about 15 minutes, stirring frequently.

Season with lemon juice and stir in the herbs before serving. Garnish with lemon wedges.
