- 1 kilogram Pumpkin
- 250 grams sugar
- 1 Tbsp salt
- 250 milliliters White vinegar
- 250 milliliters water
- 3 garlic cloves
- 1 lemon (zested)
- 4 sprigs Basil
Preparation

Cut the pumpkin into 3 cm (approximately 1 1/4 inch) cubes, and place in a bowl. Mix with the sugar, salt, vinegar, water, and the peeled garlic cloves. Lat marinate, covered, for 24 hours.

The next day, bring to a boil and cook over medium heat for 10-15 minutes until the pumpkin pieces are glazed.

Add to the jars with 2 sprigs of basil. Seal tightly. Store in a cool, dark place.
