Slice the whole-grain rolls in half and toast. Rinse the basil, pat dry and remove the leaves.

Place a few basil leaves onto the toasted buns and spread each with about 2 tablespoons of quark. Rinse and dice the tomatoes and mix with the tomato puree and olive oil. Season with salt and pepper and spoon onto the quark. Garnish with the remaining basil and serve.
