Wholemeal bread and carrots score points with plenty of fibre - this ensures that the crunchy breads remain satiating for a long time. Carrots also contain a lot of beta-carotene, a precursor of vitamin A, to which they also owe their strong colour. Vitamin A is important for healthy eyes, among other things.
You can also replace the sour cream with a different spread, for example with cream cheese, goat's cream cheese or - for a vegan variant - with creamy hummus. The chives can also be replaced with other herbs of your choice.

- 3 Tbsps Sour cream (60 g)
- 1 carrot
- Chives
- salt
- peppers
Preparation steps
Spread the sour cream on the bread slices.
Peel and finely grate the carrot.
Rinse the chives, shake dry and cut into small rings.
Distribute the grated carrot and chopped chives over the bread slices. Season with salt and pepper and serve.
