Preparation steps

1.

Peel the asparagus and cut off the woody ends. Bring plenty of water to a boil with salt and 1 tablespoon of butter. Add the asparagus and cook for about 18 minutes.

Drain the asparagus and serve with the ham. Serve with boiled potatoes and melted butter to taste.
