2 egg whites
100 grams ground Walnut
50 grams sugar
1 pinch salt
1 lemons (juiced)
2 tsps finely grated Lemon peel
butter (for greasing the baking sheet)
35 Walnut (for decorating)

Preparation steps

1.

Preheat the oven to 160°C (approximately 325°F). Grease a baking sheet with butter.  

2.

Beat the egg white until soft peaks form. Gradually add the salt, sugar, lemon juice and lemon zest and continue beating until stiff and glossy. Finely chop the marzipan, mix with the ground walnuts and fold into the egg white mixture. Spoon the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet using two teaspoons and top each with a walnut half. Bake for 25 minutes, until golden brown. Remove from the oven and cool on a wire rack.
