Preparation steps

1.

Thaw puff pastry sheets. Spread softened butter on five sheets, layer and gently press together. Using a small cookie cutter, cut 45 small circles from pastry layers. Place pastry circles on a baking sheet. Mix egg yolk with milk, brush over pastry circles and sprinkle with walnuts.

2.

Bake in oven preheated to 200°C (approximately 400°F) until golden brown, 10-15 minutes.

3.

Remove rind from Camembert and cut into slices 1/2 cm (approximately 1/4 inch) thick. Cut slices into circles the same size as the puff pastry circles. Cut puff pastries in half crosswise, place Camembert slices on the bottom halves and replace tops. Serve warm.
