- 1 thin sprig Leeks
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 tsp fennel seeds
- 1 ripe Pear
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 2 Tbsps butter
- 1 l Chicken broth
- 4 Tbsps Polenta (Corn grits, instant)
- salt
- freshly ground peppers
- Nutmeg
- 100 grams Blue cheese
- Chervil (for garnishing)

Preparation steps

Rinse and dry leek, cut white and light green parts into thin slices. Peel garlic and chop finely, combine with fennel seeds. Rinse and core pearc cut into about 5 mm (approcximately 1/5 inch) thick slices, then cut into small cubes. Mix 2 tablespoons of pear cubes with lemon juice and set aside.

Heat 2 tablespoons of butter in a pan and saute pear cubes with leek, garlic and fennel seeds briefly. Add broth and bring to a boil. Add polenta and simmer for 5 minutes. Season with salt, pepper and nutmeg.

Cut cheese into thin slices.
4.
Pour soup into 4 bowls and top with cheese and diced pear. Garnish with chervil and serve.
