- 500 grams Tuna steak
- 1 can Tomatoes
- 1 small, white onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 carrot
- sugar
- olive oil
- salt
- freshly ground peppers
- 4 Tbsps Basil (chopped)
- 1 small Cinnamon stick
Preparation steps

Rinse tuna fillet, pat dry and cut into bite-sized pieces. Peel and chop onion and garlic. Peel carrot and chop finely. Heat 3 tablespoons of oil in a pan and saute onion, garlic and carrots until translucent on medium heat. Add tomatoes, cinnamon and 2 teaspoons of sugar and simmer for about 10 minutes, covered. Season with salt and plenty of pepper. Add 3 tablespoons of basil leaves and mix well.

Heat 3 tablespoons of oil in a pan and cook tuna on all sides on low heat. Season with salt and pepper.

Arrange tuna pieces in a bowl and cover with tomato sauce. Sprinkle with remaining basil leaves and serve.
