Tandoori-Style Chicken Skewers
- 4 Chicken breasts (ready to cook, skinless, about 150 g)
- freshly ground peppers
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
Rinse chicken, pat dry and cut lengthwise into thin slices. Place in a shallow baking dish. Sprinkle with salt, pepper and lemon juice. Let stand about 30 minutes.
To make marinade: Peel garlic. In a bowl, mix together yogurt, oil, tandoori spice, and ginger. Press garlic cloves through a garlic press into bowl and mix well. Pour marinade over chicken and turn to coat. Let stand a few minutes.
Thread chicken onto skewers. Place a sheet of aluminum foil or a grill basket on the grill. Grill skewers 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally and drizzling with marinade. Serve chicken skewers with raita, if desired.
