- 1 Bream (ready to cook)
- salt
- 3 Tbsps finely chopped, fresh ginger
- 1 scallion
- 1 Tbsp chopped cilantro
- ½ small red Bell pepper
- 2 Tbsps light soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp sesame oil

Preparation steps
1.
Rinse fish, pat dry, score down to the bones 3-4 times on each side. Season with salt and, stuff ginger into scoring marks and cavity.

Place fish onto a steamer.

Boil 500 ml (approximately 2 1/3 cup) of water in a wok (or pan), top with steamer, cover and simmer and 8 - 10 minutes.

Rinse and dry scallions, cut into about 5 cm (approximately 2 inch) long strips. Rinse and dry bell pepper, remove seeds and cut into strips.
5.
Place bream on a plate, drizzle with soy sauce and sesame oil, sprinkle with scallions, bell pepper and cilantro. Serve.
