400 grams Red onions
4 Sirloin steak (each about 180 grams)
salt
peppers
2 Tbsps vegetable oil
40 grams butter
1-2 tablespoons sugar
500 milliliters Red wine
1 sprig rosemary

Preparation steps

1.

Peel, halve and thinly slice onions. Season steaks on both sides with salt and pepper. Heat oil in a pan and cook steaks for about 2-3 minutes per side. Place onto a grate in preheated oven at 100°C (approximately 200°F) and finish cooking for 20 minutes.

Heat butter in meat drippings and saute onions until soft. Sprinkle with sugar and deglaze pan with red wine, season with salt and pepper and simmer for about 6-8 minutes on medium heat. Chop rosemary finely and add to the sauce.

3.

Arrange steaks with red wine onions on plates and serve.
