200 grams starchy potatoes

1 carrot
200 grams Celery
400 grams Ground meat
150 milliliters Beef broth
2 Tbsps vegetable oil
1 tsp Tomato paste

50 grams grated Cheddar cheese
40 milliliters hot milk

Preparation steps

1.

Peel, rinse and cook the potatoes about 25 minutes in boiling salted water.

Rinse the carrot and celery, trim, peel and dice into small pieces. Peel the onion and finely chop. Saute the ground beef and vegetables in hot oil. Add the tomato paste. Pour in the broth and season with salt and pepper.

Drain the potatoes and mash. Stir in the hot milk and season with salt, pepper and nutmeg.

Butter a pie dish.

Spoon the ground beef mixture into the dish, spread the mashed potatoes on top and sprinkle with cheese. Bake in an oven preheated to 200°C (approximately 375°F) on the middle rack for 40-45 minutes until golden brown. Remove from the oven and serve.
