- 3 garlic cloves
- 2 Tbsps butter
- 250 grams Long grain rice
- 800 milliliters Chicken broth (or vegetable broth)
- 500 grams Savoy cabbage
- salt
- peppers (freshly ground)
- Nutmeg
- 2 Tbsps parsley (freshly chopped)

Preparation steps

Peel the onion and garlic, and chop finely. Heat butter in a pan and saute the onion and garlic briefly. Add in the rice and pour in the broth. Simmer for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the rice begins to disintegrate.

Rinse, trim and cut the savoy cabbage into strips. Add it to the rice, season with salt and pepper, and simmer on low heat for about 15 more minutes, stirring occasionally. Add little broth, if required. Season with salt, pepper and nutmeg. Transfer the soup to bowls and serve sprinkled with parsley.
