Salad with Beef, Scallions and Mango
Rinse the meat and pat dry. Combine the sugar with the 5-spice powder and sesame oil, season with salt and pepper and brush the meat with mixture. Cook in a grill pan in hot soybean oil while turning, 6-7 minutes. Remove and let stand wrapped in aluminum foil.
Trim scallions, rinse and cut diagonally into thin rings. Peel the mango, cut the flesh from the core and cut into bite-size pieces. Rinse the arugula, spin dry and coarsely chop. Rinse the cilantro, shake dry and pluck off the leaves. For dressing, whisk the lime juice with the soybean oil, season with salt and pepper. Toss arugula, scallions and cilantro with the dressing and transfer to plates or bowls. Top with the mango and the sliced meat and serve immediately.
