2 Tbsps lemon juice
5 Tbsps olive oil
peppers (freshly ground)

Preparation steps

Preheat the oven to 220°C (approximately 430°F).

Rinse the tomatoes, and remove the core. Spread onto a baking sheet and sprinkle with the powdered sugar and salt. Cook for 5 minutes in the oven, until the tomatoes have shriveled slightly and caramelized. Peel and thinly slice the garlic. Mix with the lemon juice, and oil. Add the garlix mixture to the tomatoes. Let the tomatoes cool, season with salt and pepper, and garnish with the basil.
