¼ tsp cinnamon
1 ½ cups Basmati rice
½ cup sliced almonds
Lime juice (from one lime)
For the garnish
1 Lime
1 Cinnamon stick

Preparation steps

1.
Soften the raisins in lukewarm water.
2.
Boil 500 ml water seasoned with salt, ground black pepper, the cardamom pods, cloves, saffron and cinnamon. Then add the rice, cover and simmer for 15 minutes with a lid on. Turn off the heat and leave to steam for 10 more minutes.
3.
Dry fry the almonds and mix into the rice along with the lime juice and the raisins. Season with salt and ground black pepper
4.
Garnish with lime slices and cinnamon sticks.
