Product recommendation
For hot or spicy puris: turmeric, cayenne pepper, cumin or ground coriander may be added to the dough. Für scharfe oder würzige Puris: nach Belieben Kurmuma, Cayennepfeffer, Kreuzkümmel oder Korianderpulver zum Teig geben
Preparation steps
1.
Place the flour in a bowl and slowly add 175 ml / 6 fl oz / 0.75 cup warm water. Knead to a soft dough. Cover the bowl and leave to rise for at least 30 minutes.
2.
Knead again thoroughly. Form the dough into walnut-sized balls and roll these out to approx. 15 cm / 6 in circles.
3.
Heat the oil in a pan and add a little salt. Place a puri circle in the pan and press it under the oil until it expands. Then turn and fry very quickly on the other side. Drain on kitchen paper.
4.
For the mango sauce: mix the mango pulp with the spices. Serve the puri hot with the mango sauce.
