Rinse the plums and cut in half. Remove the pit and puree. Mix with the lemon juice and jam sugar.

Place in a large saucepan and bring to a boil while stirring. Cook for 4 minutes until bubbly, while constantly stirring. Stir in the cocoa powder.

Remove the pan from the heat. Spoon into the hot, sanitized jars to the brim and immediately sealed with a screw cap.

Turn upside down for 10 minutes. Turn right side up and let cool completely before opening.
