3 ¼ cups onions (thinly sliced)
3 Tbsps honey
½ tsp thyme (chopped)
6 Tbsps balsamic vinegar

Preparation steps

1.
Melt the butter in a pot and fry the onions. Add the honey, allow to melt, then stir in the herbs. Season lightly with salt and ground black pepper and deglaze with the vinegar.

Simmer on a low heat for around 5 min. Transfer to sterilised jars, leave to cool and then serve.
