- 300 grams Puff pastry dough
- 1 onion
- 100 grams Bacon
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 60 grams freshly grated Parmesan
- 2 egg yolks
- 2 Tbsps Poppy seeds

Preparation steps
1.
Roll out the puff pastry to about 4 mm thin and cut into 2 cm (approximately ¾ inch) wide strips.

Peel the onion and chop finely. Heat olive oil in a pan and saute the onion and bacon bits in it for 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.
3.
Spread the bacon mixture over the rolled puff pastry and roll up into a spiral rolls. Place the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Mix the egg yolks with 1 tablespoon water and brush the rolls with it. Sprinkle the rolls with poppy seeds and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (fan: 180°C, gas mark 3) (approximately 400°F) for about 20 minutes until crispy.
Remove the rolls from the oven and leave to cool.
5.
Serve at choice with salad.
