600 grams Ground beef
3 onions
1 bunch parsley (finely chopped)
2 eggs
1 generous pinch ground paprika
1 tsp Mustard
juice of lemons
1 lemon
4 Tbsps olive oil
salt
freshly ground peppers
parsley (for garnish)
ground paprika (to sprinkle)

Preparation steps

1.

Peel the onions. Chop one onion finely and cut the other into thin strips.

2.

Mix chopped onions, parsley, eggs, mustard and spices with the meat. Form into oval meatballs. Cook in hot oil over medium heat until browned all over. Remove from the pan and keep warm.

3.

Peel lemon and cut into thin slices.

4.

Cut 1 piece of lemon peel into thin strips.

5.

Add remaining onion, lemon slices, juice and zest to drippings in pan. Cook until tender.

6.

Serve meatballs with onion sauce. Garnish with parsley and sprinkle with paprika.
