3 Tbsps grated Lime zest (from approximately 6 - 7 limes)
150 grams sugar
1 Vanilla bean

Preparation steps

Add the lime juice and lime zest to a bowl, then cover with 300 ml (approximately 10 ounces) of water. Cover and let infuse overnight. Bring the sugar, slit vanilla bean, and 300 ml (approximately 10 ounces) of water to a boil in a saucepan. Reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from the heat, and let cool slightly. Pass the lime juice through a fine strainer into a bowl. Add the sugar syrup and mix well. Pour the mixture into a bottle, seal tightly, and place in the refrigerator.

To serve, place some lime slices and ice cubes into glasses. Fill the glasses with the limeade, and serve.
