250 grams sugar
1 packet Vanilla sugar
6 eggs
500 grams Pastry flour
1 packet Baking powder
125 milliliters milk
2 untreated lemons (juice and zest)
8 centiliters Limoncello

Preparation steps

Preheat the oven to 175°C (approximately 350°F).

Grease the baking pan with butter and sprinkle with breadcrumbs. Beat the butter until fluffy. Mix the sugar, vanilla sugar and beat until creamy. Gradually add the eggs and beat until the sugar is dissolved. Add the lemon juice and lemon zest. Mix the flour and baking powder. Sift into the dough. Add 4 tablespoons of milk and mix well into a smooth dough. Mix in the Limoncello.

Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 50-60 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Remove from the oven and cool for about 10 minutes. Remove from the pan and let cool completely. Cut the lemon into thin slices. Garnish the cake with the lemon zest, lemon slices and powdered sugar. Cut into slices and serve.
