1 Pot, 1 Skillet, 1 Measuring cups, 1 Cutting board, 1 Large knife, 1 Small knife, 1 Tablespoon, 1 Wooden spoon, 1 Peeler, 1 Fine grater, 1 Sieve

Preparation steps

In approx. 600 ml/1 pint water bring the lentils to a boil then allow to cook on a medium heat for approx. 40 minutes with a lid on until the lentils are very soft. If necessary add a little more water. Add the salt and coriander/cilantro, remove from the heat and add the lemon.

Heat the olive oil in a skillet add the mustard seeds and allow them to pop. Add the whole chili pepper and the garlic cloves and fry lightly. Add the contents of the skillet to the lentils, season and serve.
