Preparation steps

1.

Melt the butter in a saucepan, stir in the flour and sauté briefly. Gradually pour in the cold milk and stir until a mushy lump-free mixture is obtained.

Pour in the remaining liquid and bring to a boil while stirring.

Rinse and trim the leek, cut into half rings and add to the sauce. Bring to a boil again, season to taste and serve with meat, potatoes or pasta, as desired.
