20 grams Ghee (or clarified butter)
½ tsp Turmeric
1 tsp Curry powder
200 grams Yogurt (0.1% fat)
1 tsp cornstarch
50 grams Pine nuts
4 Pita bread

Preparation steps

Place rice in 500 ml (approximately 2 cups) of salted water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until done, 20-25 minutes.

Rinse lamb, pat dry and cut into bite-sized pieces. Peel, halve and thinly slice onions. Heat ghee in a pan and lightly brown meat on all sides for 1-2 minutes. Add onions, turmeric and curry powder and sauté for 2 minutes, stirring. Combine yogurt, cornstarch and 80 ml (approximately 1/3 cup) of cold water and mix well. Add to lamb and simmer on low heat for 20-30 minutes.

Toast pine nuts in a dry pan until golden brown. Warm pita bread in the oven according to package instructions.

Season lamb with salt. Serve sprinkled with pine nuts on warm pita bread. Serve rice with the lamb.
