Preparation steps

Rinse and quarter the apples. Remove the seeds and cut into pieces. Peel the banana and cut into thick slices. Rinse and halve the peaches. Remove the stones and cut into bite-sized pieces. Peel the kiwi, and sliice crosswise. Peel the pineapple, quarter, remove the core, and cut into bite-sized pieces. Rinse, trim, and halve the strawberries.

Heat the grill. Mix the sugar, oil, lime juice, cinnamon, and mint leaves. Stir until the sugar has dissolved. Place the fruit in any order on the skewers. Brush with the marinade, and grill for 4-8 minutes. Serve with reduced-fat creme fraiche or vanilla ice cream if you'd like.
