1 Roasted Chicken (approx 1.5 kg)
For the marinade
lemons
1 garlic clove
1 shallot
½ tsp ground paprika
salt

For the sauce
2 garlic cloves
2 Tbsps scallions
1 onion
½ Pepperoncini
2 lemons (Juice)
3 Tbsps vegetable oil
salt
freshly ground peppers

Preparation steps

For the marinade: Peel the shallot and garlic, finely chop, add the paprika and season with lemon juice, salt and pepper. Cut the chicken into 8-10 serving pieces and coat with the marinade. Cover and refrigerate 1 hour.

Peel the sauce: Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic. Rinse the pepperoncini, slit lengthwise, remove the seeds and ribs and chop very finely. Heat the oil in a saucepan over low heat, season with lemon juice and simmer 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper, remove from the heat and stir in the chives. Cool.

Preheat the grill and lightly oil the grates. Grill the chicken until cooked through, about 10 minutes on each side. Serve with the sauce.
