- 1 cup Nut (macadamia, peanuts and almonds, coarsely chopped)
- 2 cups fine porridge oats
- ¾ cup coarse porridge oats
- 1 cup coarse Spelt flakes
- 1 cup brown Raw cane sugar (scant)
- ¼ cup sugar beet syrup
- 1 ½ cups butter

Preparation steps
1.
Heat the oven to 180°C (160°C in a fan oven), 350°F, gas 4 and line a baking tray with grease-proof paper.
2.
Mix the nuts, oats, spelt and sugar in a mixing bowl. Gently heat the syrup and butter in a pan, stir well and stir into the mixture together with the cherries. Spread the mixture onto the baking tray, about 1.5 cm thick. Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
3.
Remove from the oven, carefully cut out circles approximately 6 cm in diameter and leave to cool on a cooling rack.
