- 1 lemon (juice and zest)
- 2 tsps freshly grated ginger
- ¼ l water
- ¼ white Port wine
- 3 cloves
- ½ Cinnamon stick
- 250 grams dried Figs
- 1 Tbsp honey
- 50 grams ground almonds
- 200 grams Whipped cream
- 1 tsp cane sugar

Preparation steps

Mix with port wine, lemon zest, lemon juice, ginger, cloves and cinnamon in a saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat for about 3 minutes.

Place figs in a bowl, drizzle with honey and pour hot port wine mixture over figs. Cover the bowl and let stand for about 24 hours. Whip cream until stiff and mix with almonds and sugar cane. To serve, arrange port wine figs and whipped cream in dessert bowls and sprinkle with a little port wine sauce.
