1 ¾ ozs sugar
3 ½ ozs brown sugar
1 egg (large)
1 tsp Vanilla
6 ½ ozs Pastry flour
1 Tbsp cocoa powder
1 tsp Baking powder
6 ozs dark Chocolate (chopped into small pieces)

Preparation steps

Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Beat the butter with sugar and brown sugar until fluffy. Gradually add the egg and vanilla. Stir together the flour, cocoa powder and baking powder and add to the egg mixture. Stir in the chocolate chips.

Using a teaspoon, place the dough in small heaps on the baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches between. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the cookies are golden brown. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then remove, cool completely on a wire rack and serve.
