500 grams Strawberries
500 milliliters vegetable oil (for frying)
50 grams Pastry flour
150 grams cornstarch
1 egg

Preparation steps

1.

Rinse the strawberries, drain well and remove the stems.

2.

Heat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer (or large pot) to 180°C (approximately 350°F).

3.

Mix the flour, starch and egg with about 200 ml (approximately 1 cup) of cold water. Let stand for 10 minutes.

4.

Roll the strawberries in the batter and fry in the hot oil until golden brown. Drain on paper towels and serve lukewarm.
