- 1 Tbsp Oil
- 4 ½ cups braising Steak (cut into 2cm|3/4-inch cubes)
- 2 large onions (chopped)
- 2 garlic cloves (crushed)
- 4 cups canned Tomatoes
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp Chili powder
- 1 Tbsp dark brown sugar
- 1 small, red chili pepper (deseeded and finely chopped)
- 4 cups canned red Kidney beans
- ⅓ cup Dark chocolate (70% cocoa)
- 1 ⅓ cups hot Beef stock
- salt (to taste)

Normal Cooking: Follow the recipe from step 2 to the end of step 4, transferring the ingredients to a large pan. Bring to a boil. Cover and simmer for about 1 1/2 hours until the beef is tender.
Preparation steps
1.
Preheat the slow cooker if necessary – see manufacturer’s instructions.
2.
Heat the oil in a frying pan (skillet) and brown the meat in batches until browned. Remove from the pan and set aside.
3.
Add the onion and garlic to the pan and cook for about 5 minutes until softened.
4.
Mix the meat, onions and garlic with the remaining ingredients and transfer to the slow cooker pot.
5.
Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours until the beef is tender.
