Chocolate Covered Apples
Apples are full of vitamins, minerals, and fiber. They contain natural sugars that can give you plenty of energy without too many calories. The nuts also provide protein healthy fats which boost your brain and heart health.
You can use an assortment of nuts, like peanuts, cashews, or macadamia nuts. You could also use sprinkles or coconut flakes for some variation!
Rinse the apples with hot water, dry, and twist off the stems. Insert 4" long sticks into the apples in place of the stems.
Coarsely chop the hazelnuts and almonds. Break the chocolate into small pieces and melt over a hot water bath. Dip the apples approximately 3/4 of the way into the chocolate and sprinkle with the nuts. Allow to cool on baking paper before serving.
