- ¾ cup butter (softened)
- ¾ cup superfine caster sugar
- 3 eggs (beaten)
- 1 cup self-rising flour (sifted)
- 1 cup Almond flour
- ⅜ cup Whole milk
- 4 Tbsps cocoa powder (plus extra for sprinkling)
- 1 cup Chocolate chip
- 1 Tbsp clear honey
Preparation steps

Preheat the oven to 180°C | 350F | gas 4. Grease and line a 900 g loaf tin.

Put the butter and sugar into a bowl and beat until light and creamy. Add the eggs, flour, ground almonds, milk and cocoa powder and beat well until smooth. Stir in 100g of the chocolate chips.

Spoon the mixture into the tin and bake in the oven for 50 minutes to 1 hour or until a skewer inserted in the centre comes out clean.

Leave to cool for about 15 minutes. Remove from the tin and brush the honey over the warm cake and sprinkle with the remaining chocolate chips. Sprinkle with a little cocoa powder and serve.
