1 chicken (approx 1.4 kg)
1 onion
1 garlic clove
2 centimeters ginger
salt
peppers
1 Tbsp vegetable oil
4 small, dried chili peppers
2 Oranges (juice)
200 milliliters Chicken broth
1 Tbsp honey
1 Mango
2 Tbsps scallions

Preparation steps

Rinse the chicken, pat dry and and divide into 6-8 pieces. Peel the onion, the garlic and the ginger and chop everything finely.

Season the chicken pieces with salt and pepper and saute until golden brown in a hot cast iron pan with the oil. Remove chicken from the pan and saute the onion with the garlic. Sauté the chile and ginger briefly. Deglaze with the orange juice and the broth and add the chicken back in with the honey. Cover and simmer about 30 minutes.

Peel the mango, cut the flesh into pieces, remove the core and add during the last about 10 minutes of cooking to the chicken.

Season and serve garnished with chives.
